Data Management & Analysis
Laura is well versed in working with different kinds of data (descriptive, narratives, case studies, interviews, focus groups, observations, mixed data for examples). Laura is experienced with N*Vivo (qualitative data organization software), Excel, Power Point, Word, and survey software such as REDCAP and Survey Monkey and can easily manage small or large data sets.
Laura has many years of experience analyzing qualitative data. She is capable in using a breadth of approaches typically used in qualitative inquiry analysis including: interpretive description, ethnography, phenomenology, case study and grounded theory.
Interviewing & Focus Group Facilitation
Laura’s expert clinical skills are an asset to conducting sensitive, in-depth research interviews and focus groups. She has conducted hundreds of interviews with all kinds of participant groups including: children, adolescents, family caregivers, health care providers, physicians and researchers. She has experience conducting interviews with non-English speaking adults and newcomers to Canada in collaboration with language interpreters.
